The Artistic and Cultural Movement of Empathism (Empathic Movement) is structured around several key periods.
Here is a summary of the temporal phases:
Pre-Empathic Period (2000-2020): This twenty-year period was the phase of theoretical gestation, research, and study of the foundations that led to the formulation of the movement. Pre-Empathism includes the New Manifesto on the Arts (Lerro-Pelliccia), published in 2019.
2020: Birth and Launch of the First Phase: The movement was officially born in 2020, in reaction to the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdowns. The “First Empathic Phase” begins. The “Empathic School” is established.
2020-2025: Development of the First Phase (“Total Art”): This period is characterized by the dissemination of the theory, but also by countless major artistic and cultural events, and by the growth in the number of members (approximately 300 Empath Masters by 2025). The 32 Empathic Theses are published and exhibited at the Giubbe Rosse Literary Café in Florence at the end of 2025. This phase focuses on the interdisciplinarity of the arts and the concept of the “Total Artist” (Unus).
2026 onwards: Beginning of the Second Phase (“Total Empathy”): The First Phase officially concludes at the end of 2025. From 2026, the Second Phase begins, introduced by the concept of “Total Empathy.” This phase aims to increase awareness and apply empathy beyond understanding others, transforming perception into action and healing, involving people, nature, ideas, and technology (always, however, with a critical eye on the latter, as it has not yet been fully mastered by humans…).
