Within the Empathic Movement (Empathism), which we recall was born in 2020 in the Province of Salerno (see the geometric figure of the Cultural Pyramid of Cilento with 25 new “cultural villages and cities” adhering and forming its epicenter), there are a significant number of exponents who act on Italian territory and internationally.
Today we will focus on this aspect to make a summary overview that makes us understand the magnificence of the School that advocates Empathy.
Let’s discover, therefore, how the action of some Empathetic Masters of absolute importance (who also direct Academies, Schools, Cultural Associations) is realized and let’s try to understand what they are carrying forward at the moment.
It all started in 2019, from the foundation of the Contemporary Arts Center by Menotti Lerro together with many artists and academic teachers. The Center itself has worked and continues to work constantly for the elevation of territories and Art, and many are the artistic-cultural initiatives promoted in Italy, but often also involving protagonists of the international scene, including the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2018, Olga Tokarczuk, and the international stars of cinema and music Tomas Arana and David Jackson.
In Northern Italy we find a large and very authoritative group of intellectuals, “Empathetic Masters”, to be highlighted. The poet Gian Mario Villalta is the artistic director of the “Pordenonelegge” Literary Festival. In Milan we point out the Casa della Poesia directed by the poet and literary critic Maurizio Cucchi, who is also the Honorary President of our Contemporary Arts Center (formerly Franco Loi). We point out in Como the action of the Casa della Poesia directed by Laura Garavaglia which, especially with the Literary Festival “Europa in versi”, records a cultural action of international scope.
In Rome, the “Movimento Bambino” of psychotherapist and writer Maria Rita Parsi is active. Just as in the same city we find the decisive action of the director, Dacia Maraini, who edits the major Italian Literary magazine published by Mondadori, “Nuovi Argomenti”. Again in Rome we point out the action of the Empathic Master Anna Maria Galeotti, director of the National Academy of Dance.
In Viterbo, the Masters Rosanna Schiralli and Ulisse Mariani stand out with “La Rete delle Scuole dell’Empatia”. He founded and directs the “CPM Music Institute” Franco Mussida in Milan. He was director of the Design section at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera Antonello Pelliccia. The directors of historic publishing houses Giuliano Ladolfi of Novara and Sandro Gros-Pietro of Turin (Ladolfi publisher and Genesi publisher) are. The poets Milo De Angelis, Giancarlo Pontiggia and Mario Santagostini have directed or created important Literary magazines and anthologies. Alberto Bertoni and Davide Rondoni are among the founders of the Center for Contemporary Poetry of the University of Bologna. Franco Arminio has created a personal vision of the villages through the so-called “Paesologia”. He is director and founder of the “Centro per la Salute Umanistica” Andrew Mangham in England. She directs and founded an “Academic Center of Contemporary Poetry” in the United States Maria Mazziotti Gillan. She directs the “Center for Translation and Interpretation of Contemporary Poetry” Lidia Vianu in Romania. In the same country she acts as director of the Literary Magazine “Poezia” Marius Chelaru. She is Co-Director of the magazine “Studi Italiani” and of the series “Le Civiltà Letterarie”, and is a Member of the Scientific Committees of the magazines “Misure Critiche”, Rosa Giulio. He was Dean of the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Salerno, Luigi Rossi. She was Dean of the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Salerno Maria Teresa Chialant. He directs the Academy of Fine Arts in Carrara, Marco Baudinelli.
They are just some of possible examples of the cocrete action of the Empathic School Movement.
