“Come again, sweet love doth now invite”. È lʼinizio melanconico e raffinato di un componimento anonimo trasposto in musica dal noto compositore e cantante rinascimentale John Dowland. Nella contemporaneità, la voce deliziosamente potente di Bernardo Lanzetti rivela unʼintuizione sublimata nello stile vagamente Chill Out e Prog. Quella del vocalist italiano resta ad oggi la punta di diamante tra le versioni di questo brano fiorite solo successivamente, a partire dal 1998, tra cui lʼinterpretazione di Sting è la più nota e fedele allʼoriginale. Unʼalchimia rinnova festosamente il dialogo infinito della musica con la poesia.

“Come again, sweet love doth now invite”. It is the melancholy and refined beginning of an anonymous composition transposed into music by the well-known Renaissance composer and singer John Dowland. In the contemporary world, Bernardo Lanzetti‘s delightfully powerful voice reveals sublimated intuition in the vaguely Chill Out and Prog style. That of the Italian vocalist remains, to this day, the spearhead among the versions of this piece that flourished only later, starting from 1998, among which Sting’s interpretation is the best known though most faithful to the original. An alchemy joyfully renews the infinite dialogue of music with poetry.
